The History of Smoothie Smash

What is up CP Fans, Crzypengu here with the latest updates. We only have less than a month left to experience the desktop version of Club Penguin and throughout the Month of March I will be putting out a new piece of History about every single mini-game that is on Club Penguin and today we will be having a look at the game Smoothie Smash.

Smoothie Smash is a mini-game that was released on August 30, 2012 and can be found at the Coffee Shop on Club Penguin. The Game first came to notice back on July 10, 2012 where a UK Website said that the Innocent Smoothies for Kids would team up with Club Penguin in order to promote healthy eating. Of course with this announcement there was special packaging for Innocent Smoothie products that would give out codes that will unlock virtual items for the game. In the Club Penguin Times a week before the Adventure Party: Temple of Fruit, Rory announced that a new game for the Coffee shop was coming out where he revealed the name and the release date of the game. The objective for Smoothie Smash is for the player to bounce on a conveyor belt that has Fruit coming through which you will have to smash to make Smoothies. There are two different game modes which are Regular and Survival Mode. In Regular Mode the game tells you to smash the fruit that is asked by different customers to make their smoothie. Fruit that is supposed to be smashed in this game mode will be highlighted in white and are also shown in cards that come from each Penguin Customer. Smoothie Smash Awards points based on how many correct fruit you smash for the customer and the more that you smash correctly, the more points you will earn over time. There is also a consecutive fruit meter that goes up to 5 and awards you 10 additional points for every consecutive fruit smashed correctly except when you reach 6 and above which will give you 50 points each time. This game also has a time limit of only 2 minutes, but if you smash around 10-15 fruits correctly at a time then you can get an extra ten seconds on the game clock when you hit a clock near the top of the screen.

Survival Mode has the same exact controls as Regular Mode except it does not have any customers in there. There is a health bar instead and you will have to continually smash fruit over time in order to stay up as long as possible. The main difference between this game mode and the other is that there are hazards which are Anvils and Bombs that will reduce your health and if you lose all of your health then the game will end. You will also have to avoid touching the conveyor belt in this game mode as it will decrease your health while every fruit you smash will increase your health bar over time. The last thing to note about Survival mode is that the longer that you are on this mode, the faster the conveyor belt will go making it extremely difficult to stay on forever. There are a ton of different fruits in this game which are Bananas, Blackberries, Blackcurrant, Fig, Grapes, Green Apples, Mangoes, Oranges, Peaches, Pineapples, Raspberries and Strawberries. Smoothie Smash was also made playable on the Club Penguin App and allows players to collect Stamps that will allow you to gain a double amount of coins into your inventory if you get them all.

Thank you all so much for reading about the history of the Club Penguin mini-game Smoothie Smash. Smoothie Smash is not an entirely difficult game to play, but it is fun to see how fast or how long you can last in one game while either serving customers or avoiding obstacles over the course of a game. I am really going to miss this game as it has been a fun way to earn coins for my account even though the idea of smashing fruit with your bottom is a bit strange. Anyway I hope you all enjoy the Gameplay footage that can be found below and until next time this is Crzypengu saying Waddle On!
