The History of Astro Barrier

What is up CP Fans, Crzypengu here with the latest updates. We only have less than a month left to experience the desktop version of Club Penguin and throughout the Month of March I will be putting out a new piece of History about every single mini-game that is on Club Penguin and today we will be having a look at the game Astro Barrier.

Astro Barrier is an Arcade Game that can be found at the Arcade in the Dance Club and was released on September 21, 2005 during the Beta Testing of Club Penguin and was officially released on the Club Penguin game on October 24, 2005 for everyone. Of course the game was invented to look like an 8 bit video game and the ships are styled to look like the Snowspeeder from Star Wars. The Mini-game added hidden levels to it on December 30, 2005. The Secret Levels can be played by waiting 30 seconds for a ship to appear so you can shoot the back of it to go through ten additional levels and then the game will take you to level 16. You can also play Expert Levels on the game by playing up to level 30 and when the next tutorial screen appears you can wait 30 seconds for another ship to appear and you will have to use the cannon to shoot it to go for another 9 additional levels. When the April Fools 2008 party was going on Astro Barrier and Thin Ice were combined together to be the game Thinicetrobarrier where the spaceship is replaced as a flaming black puffle that shoots the targets. On July 26, 2010 the game was updated to where non-members were allowed to only go up to level 5 because of the introduction of Stamp Books. There also was an Astro Barrier Pin that was released back in July 21, 2006 and was the first pin to be released in the snow forts. A really cool thing about this game is that there used to be an Astro Barrier T-Shirt that was for sale on the Club Penguin Shop website over 10 years ago.

Thank you all so much for reading about the History of Astro Barrier. This particular Mini-Game has to be one of my favorites on the island and I am sure going to miss playing it when the game discontinues later this month. Anyways I hope you all enjoy the gameplay below and until next time this is Crzypengu saying Waddle On.
